String of Pearls: South Shore parks in Milwaukee
Cupertino, South Shore, Bay View, Sheridan, Warnimont, Grant, Oak Creek Parkway

Oak Leaf Trail in Sheridan Park
The southeast edge of Milwaukee County, along the shore of Lake Michigan, consists of a “string of pearls,” a series of parks connected by the Oak Leaf Trial. It is the longest contiguous shoreline within the Milwaukee Park System, with about 12 miles of dedicated multipurpose trail.
The south shore parks begin in Bay View at Cupertino Park and end in South Milwaukee at Grant Park. The Oak Leaf Trail continues south along the Oak Creek Parkway. On the north the Oak Leaf Trail uses road connections to get from Cupertino to Milwaukee’s Lakefront.
Amenities vary from park to park.
