Ice Age Trail – Holy Hill Segment in Hartford
This segment of the Ice Age Trail runs 6.8 miles from Glassgo Dr. in Hartford to Donegal Rd. in Hubertus. Moderately used, featuring beautiful wild flowers and good for all skill levels. Autumn colors are particularly spectacular.
Highlight is the scenic basilica, National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians, which sits atop a 1,350 ft. kame, providing panoramic views.
Designated as a National Scenic Trail, the thousand-mile Ice Age trail follows the terminal moraine of the last glaciers throughout Wisconsin, providing some of the world’s best examples of glacial formations such as kettles, kames, moraines, eskers and drumlins.
Trail connects with Pike Lake segment on the north and Loew Lake segment on the south.
