Five ways to get involved with A Wealth of Nature

July 13, 2019  |  Topics: Articles

People everywhere need the opportunity to experience nature in their daily lives, and luckily, we have ample opportunity to do that in Southeastern Wisconsin with stoic woodlands, lush prairies, beautiful lakes, rivers and streams, and so much more.

The mission of A Wealth of Nature is to protect parks and natural areas for the enjoyment of the public today and in the future by promoting the enjoyment and preservation of nature in our region. While exploring and enjoying these parks and natural areas are easy ways to sustain this work, we’d offer a few more easy ways you can be involved with this important work.

Tag us

A Wealth of Nature has a strong and growing presence on Facebook and Instagram, and we’d be honored to have you show us the places in Southeastern Wisconsin that you love. To do this, tag our username @awealthofnature on both Facebook and Instagram, or include the hashtag #awealthofnature. When we can, we’ll share your photos and posts to our pages, with credit of course. We’d love to see a swell of users tagging us as the beauty of summer rolls into the blaze of autumn.

Share your story

Our blog, The Natural Realm, tells stories of natural spaces throughout Southeast Wisconsin and issues of interest that relate to these critical natural resources. Do you have a favorite park, preserve or natural area that we haven’t included yet? Is there an issue relating to parks and/or nature in Southeast Wisconsin that you want others to know about? Is there a great event that you’re aware of related to parks and nature that should be shared? To tell us about it, head over to the Share your story or photo page.

Sign up for our email newsletter

Every other week, we send out an email newsletter highlighting top posts from The Natural Realm blog and other relevant information. We’d love to be invited into your inbox. If you aren’t already on the list, subscribe here. If you are on the list, we encourage you to invite others to sign up as well.

Invite us to tell our story

Do you have a group that would like to hear more about the wealth of nature in our area? Project director Eddee Daniel is available for public speaking on the topic. We would love to meet with your civic organization, religious group, business alliance, interest group or other meetup to showcase the wealth of nature that the Southeast Wisconsin region has to offer. To inquire about booking a presentation, contact Eddee via email.

Be A Wealth of Nature partner

We are always looking for partner organizations and agencies that share in our commitment to protecting parks and natural areas in our region. Being A Wealth of Nature partner is mutually beneficial; in return for supporting and promoting A Wealth of Nature with your members and constituents, we provide partner organizations the opportunity to be included on our website, blog and social media. If you’re interested in partnering with us, email project editor Eddee Daniel.
