Woodfield Park in Waukesha

This 59-acre park, located in the west central portion of the City of Waukesha, is surprisingly large and natural for an urban neighborhood park. The northern section includes a large pond, which is periodically stocked by the DNR Urban Fishing Program, playground equipment, a park shelter and open play field.
Identified as a wetland and wildlife habitat, this park is part of the Fox River primary environmental corridor. It contains plant and animal communities that are representative of wetlands, woodland and upland. A stream connects the ponds within the park. Among the topographical features is a glacial ridge top meadow that provides a superb view and a small creek that runs mostly along the eastern edge of the park.
