Kayakers on the Milwaukee River

This 40-acre Ozaukee County Park is situated between the Milwaukee River shoreline and the Village of Fredonia. Waubedonia Park is the only County Park that offers camping. Ten rustic campsites are open from the first Saturday in May through the third Saturday in October, weather permitting.

Spring is a beautiful time to see the variety of wild flowers as well as the migrating birds that use the river as a travel corridor. Waubedonia is listed as an ebird hotspot with 122 species recorded. Or fish for smallmouth bass and northern pike right from the front of your tent. Public launch for boats, canoes and kayaks at no cost.

The park has a rentable open-air pavilion with enough picnic tables to seat 100 people.

The park is open to the public year-round, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Leashed dogs and cats are allowed as long as they are cleaned up after.

Other amenities include baseball diamonds, tennis courts, soccer field, playground and restrooms.

For more information or for reservations, go to the Ozaukee County Parks website.
