Virmond Park in Mequon

A 63-acre Ozaukee County park that provides breathtaking panoramic views from the bluffs that overlook Lake Michigan. Several hiking trails wind through nature preserve sections of the park. George Virmond, the former owner, donated this woods and vacant land in 1944, with the request of developing a park for all to enjoy.
A striking chimney swift nest, decorated with mosaic tiles, was created by Mequon artist Sally Duback.
Amenities include a playground, volleyball, baseball, soccer, tennis, pickleball, picnic tables, a pavilion, and accessible pubic restrooms.
