South Oak Preserve in West Bend

This 72-acre preserve is owned and managed by Ozaukee Washington Land Trust. It contains a perennial creek, lowland hardwood forest, upland hardwood forest, shrub carr, upland meadow and fresh meadow. Unique to this site there are about 4,000 linear feet of perennial and intermittent tributary streams and approximately 1.5 acres of man-made pond. Because of the diverse habitats this preserve contains many bird species such as the Baltimore oriole and various hawks, many fish species even mammals such as deer, fox and coyotes. Pets on leash welcome.
