At 257 acres, Sandy Knoll is the largest as well as the oldest park in the Washington County Park System. The park is relatively flat with prairies and wooded areas, a beach on a pond, and several level trails.
Amenities include a dog park named Sandy Paws, 18 holes of disc golf, a rentable house, a recently renovated (2020) barn hall, and several shelters. There are a variety of different open fields available for numerous sports. Running through the corner of the park is part of a snow mobile trail with access to this trail in the park.
