Activities: Birding, Hiking, Picnicking, Snowshoeing, Wildlife Viewing
Filter:

This 204-acre Waukesha County Park stands out by being lightly developed and left largely to nature. A large woodlot is surrounded by a sedge meadow and former agricultural fields on rolling terrain. The woodlot consists of dry-mesic forest that is actively succeeding into mesic forest. There is a network of hiking and bridle trails. There is a picnic table next to the parking lot. Geocaching and snowshoeing are encouraged, along with wildlife viewing. The following notable bird species have been identified in the park: American Woodcock, Blue-winged Warbler, Bobolink, Brown Thrasher, Eastern Meadowlark, Field Sparrow, Henslow’s Sparrow, Sedge Wren, Yellow-billed Cuckoo.

I couldn’t find a trail map, but there is an aerial view of the park on the Waukesha County Parks Dept. website.
