Petrifying Springs Park in Kenosha

Considered the flagship of Kenosha County parks. The 350-acre park provides many diverse opportunities for recreation, including hiking, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding, picnic areas, playgrounds, golf, various playing fields and a dog park. In the winter the golf course becomes a lighted cross country skiing track.
The Pike River meanders through the park. Among the springs that give the park its name is a popular artesian well with pure spring water.
Identified as an ebird hotspot. The park features owl boxes, wood duck boxes and blue bird trails. For a thorough description of the extensive trail system click here.
