Nature Hill Nature Center in Oconomowoc

Activities: Birding, Hiking, Snowshoeing, Wildlife Viewing

An Oconomowoc Area School District preserve located next to Nature Hill Intermediate School. Used for environmental education but also open to the public. A color-coded trail system leads through woodland, wetland and prairie, as well as up the eponymous hill, which is quite steep. Rosenow Creek meanders through the preserve near the trailhead.

Trails include the 1.2-mile Red Trail, which creates a long loop around the perimeter of the preserve; the .8-mile Blue Trail loop; and the .6-mile, very steep Green Trail.

There is an amphitheater and a fitness circuit with variously equipped stations. There are no restrooms or other amenities.
