The beach on Nagawicka Lake.

This 414-acre property includes 206-acre Naga-Waukee Park along with Naga-Waukee War Memorial Golf Course, spanning the land between the shores of Nagawicka Lake and Pewaukee Lake. There is public lake access on both lakes. The terrain includes glacial topographical features. The oak – hickory forest and thick undergrowth define a network of trails that wind throughout the park. Many different species of wildlife can be see, including Baltimore orioles, tufted titmouse, hooded warblers, and great horned owls. Naga-Waukee Park is considered a hotspot on the Cornell Ornithology Lab’s ebird website, with 124 species recorded.

 

Lake access sites managed by park staff at Pewaukee and Nagawicka Lakes provide boat launches with a daily pass or annual lake access sticker.

 

The Nagawicka Lake Beach has a beach house, playground, and vending machines. It is open with Swim-At-Your-Own-Risk hours, pending weather and water quality. Hours available here.

 

Five reservable picnic areas are available with picnic tables, shelters, indoor restrooms, electric, water, large grill, and sand volleyball court.

 

There are 25 individual and 5 group campsites available with daily or annual permit. Reservations can be made online.

 

The Lake Country Recreation Trail traces the southern edge of the park and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail runs through the middle of it (next to Highway 83, which separates the park from the golf course.)
