Minooka Park in Waukesha
At 579 acres, the largest park in the Waukesha County Park System. Terrains include open mowed fields, meadows, fen, wetlands and high-quality woodlands. Six miles of hiking trails become groomed cross-country ski trails in the winter. Five miles of intermediate level mountain bike trails. Winter activities include a sledding hill, winter hiking and snow shoeing.
Abundant spring ephemeral flowers and songbirds, such as fly catchers or scarlet tanagers. Identified as an ebird hotspot. Amenities include a 3.5-acre pond with beach and beach house, picnic shelters and a dog exercise area.
Entrance fee or Waukesha County Parks sticker required.
