Mequon Nature Preserve in Mequon

Mequon Nature Preserve is 510-acres of prairies, wetlands, and hardwood mesic forests. The area is currently in the process of converting the agricultural fields back into prairies, wetlands, and forests. The PieperPower Education Center includes a 12,000 sq. ft. multi-use classroom and conference facility. It provides a comprehensive outdoor science program to 5,000 K-12 students annually as well as environmental science programs to the general public. There is a network of hiking trail loops with over six miles of trails.
Identified by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as an ebird hotspot with 184 species recorded.
The preserve includes a working farm and community gardens.
The main entrance and Education Center are on County Line Road. Secondary entrances on Swan Road and Donges Bay Road.
