King’s Corner Preserve in Caledonia
This 36.9-acre preserve is owned and managed by Caledonia Conservancy, which has designated it a community-oriented property. This means that the pedestrian trails and the native Tollaksen Memorial Garden have informational signage. There is a children’s area with colorful plaques of animals and flowers to identify and installations that challenge kids to simple tasks.
There are separate pedestrian and equestrian trails that wind through three distinct ecosystems—prairie, wetland, and woodlands—which are being maintained as natural areas.
Caledonia Conservancy has an active maintenance plan that includes prairie restoration and the removal of dead ash trees.
A kiosk and wayfaring map provide guidance for navigating the preserve. There are no amenities.
