Highland Woods in Mequon
Activities: Birding, Hiking, Picnicking
Filter:
85-acre City of Mequon nature preserve. As the name implies, it is mostly woodland, although one large corner of the property is an open field. A network of loop trails weaves through it all. Ongoing efforts to eradicate invasive buckthorn has left contrasting areas with dense undergrowth and cleared undergrowth. Managed as a passive use nature and educational study area.
For more information go to the City of Mequon website.
