Panorama of Mud Lake and spectacular clouds

Located on 35th Street just south of College Avenue in Franklin. Its 152 acres include the shallow but wildlife-rich Mud Lake, which is flanked by a mixed of shrub-car wetlands and vibrant prairie. A gravel trail encircles Mud Lake, and a soft trail lets visitors explore the upland forest and large sedge meadow in the western end of the park. The diverse habitats enable many uncommon wildlife species to thrive. It is a stop on the Forked Aster Trail System and is identified as an ebird hotspot. Dedicated entirely to nature, this park has no amenities.
