Fox Hill Nature Preserve in West Bend
This 129-acre Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation property has more than 5 miles of hiking, snowshoeing, and X-country ski trails. Along with wooded glacial features such as kames, moraines, and kettles, the site includes a native prairie with over 50 varieties of plants and a self-guided hiking trail. The conservancy protects important sensitive habitats and rare species.
In winter the Fox Hill Nordic cross country ski trails are groomed. The ancient kettle moraine landscape with its rolling terrain, combined with classic and skate lanes, allow skiers to cruise smoothly through the woods. A membership pass is required for skiing. (The pass includes nearby Rudorf Farm Preserve.)
