Elm Grove Village Park in Elm Grove
No one would mistake any part of this park for wilderness, urban or otherwise. Much of the park is developed for active recreation. However, about half of the park is taken up by a long, narrow pond and the 1.7-mile paved path that circles it is quite lovely and a great place for birds. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology identifies the park as an eBird Hotspot with 95 species identified. Most of the park is fairly level but a manufactured hill is used for sledding in winter.
Amenities include a heated swimming pool, splash pad, picnic areas with a gazebo and a pavilion, two ball diamonds, nine tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, playground, and basketball court.
