Brown Deer Park in Milwaukee

Activities: Birding, Cycling, Fishing, Hiking, Picnicking, Running
Filter:

The 363-acre park is technically in Milwaukee, but is surrounded on three sides by the suburbs of Brown Deer, River Hills and Glendale. Approximately half is a golf course, which is groomed in winter for skate-style cross-country skiing. A second trail, maintained for classic-style skiing, winds around and through three woodlands in the other half. The woodlands are also lovely in warmer weather. A disc golf course runs through some sections.

The 5-acre pond is stocked with panfish, trout and largemouth bass.

The Zip Line of the Oak Leaf Trail runs along the west edge of the park between Good Hope Rd. on the south and Bradley Rd. on the north.

The park has numerous amenities, including a boat house, athletic fields, playground, and restrooms.
