Milwaukee River
17-acre Bratt Woods is located along the Milwaukee River in the Town of Grafton and is owned and managed by the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust. The preserve contains mature oak, maple, and American beech trees in an upland hardwood forest. The forest and the river benefit the migrating birds that need a place to rest. Visit this preserve to hike, cross country ski, fish or bird watch. A ¾-mile trail loops through the preserve, with a connection to the Ozaukee Interurban Trail. The preserve is a designated trailside birding hotspot.
Identified by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology as an ebird hotspot.
